El Ayuntamiento de Marbella está llevando a cabo un plan de accesibilidad y acondicionamiento de las oficinas de turismo en San Pedro Alcántara con el objeto de mejorar la instalación existente de la oficina de turismo y proponer un espacio renovado, cultural y contemporáneo, en un espacio actualmente deteriorado.
El nuevo centro de Turismo, Comercio y Fiestas de San Pedro Alcántara es un proyecto de rehabilitación que trata de mejorar y potenciar las instalaciones existentes para dar mayor presencia en el ámbito municipal y prestar un mejor servicio a un sector creciente y cada vez más selectivo del turismo.
El proyecto rediseña el espacio actual con el objeto de la eliminación de barreras arquitectónicas. Consiguiendo de ese modo un centro más accesible y amigable.
Por otro lado, se presenta una programática para el local muy ambiciosa planteando:
– Un hall recibidor como sala de exposición e interpretación de la historia de la Colonia de San Pedro Alcántara,
– Una serie de oficinas que satisfaga el trabajo del equipo multidisciplinar de Turismo, Comercio y Fiesta.
– Un nuevo espacio para una sala de prensa con un patio invadido de luz natural que se convertirá en el corazón de estas oficinas evocando subliminalmente a los patios de las Villas Romanas.

The Marbella City Council is carrying out an accessibility and improvement plan for the tourism offices in San Pedro Alcántara, aiming to enhance the existing facilities and create a renewed, cultural, and contemporary space in an area currently in poor condition.
The new Tourism, Commerce, and Festivities Center of San Pedro Alcántara is a rehabilitation project designed to upgrade the current infrastructure, giving it greater municipal presence and offering improved services to a growing and increasingly selective tourism sector.
The redesign focuses on eliminating architectural barriers, creating a more accessible and welcoming environment.
The project also proposes an ambitious program for the space, including:
A reception hall that doubles as an exhibition and interpretation room on the history of the San Pedro Alcántara Colony,
A series of offices to accommodate the multidisciplinary team of Tourism, Commerce, and Festivities,
A new press room opening onto a naturally lit courtyard that will become the heart of the building—a subtle nod to Roman villa courtyards.
